It seems fine, but I’ll have the dealer check it out.

Do you hear any weird sounds in the lower gears? Like something turning on? It might be the electric battery, but I’m not sure.
It sounds like a whine from the electric motor. I heard it on my initial test drive and the advisor said it’s normal. You can only hear it when the sound is muted, so it’s not too bad.
I have the CX-70 PHEV in Mazda red and I’m very happy with it. I don’t need the third row but appreciate the extra cargo space. No rattles in my car. Enjoy your ride!

Nice! The PHEV is great too. What color combination do you have?
@Zara
I have the red one. It’s beautiful! Highly recommend it.
I visited my local Mazda dealer and saw a lot of CX-90s and some CX-70s. The CX-90s were priced lower than the CX-70s. The CX-70s have nicer interiors, but the CX-90 has more power and space. It’s a tough choice!
@Micah
Yes, the CX-70 is much larger and more powerful than the CX-90. The wireless charging isn’t great though. It doesn’t work well and I prefer wired charging for stability.
Thanks for sharing. Happy for you! How’s the comfort and highway noise?

It’s very comfortable and feels luxurious. Highway noise is noticeable but better than some other models I drove. The cup holders are small and the center console is shallow, which is a bit annoying.
Like a CX-90 with the rear seats folded.
That’s pretty much it. That’s the review.

Interesting take!
I got mine in June and love it. It looks great and drives well. Perfect for empty nesters.
I have the PHEV version and I’m obsessed. No complaints.
I’m looking at the 70 and 90. I don’t need the third row but might have it for family visits. Why did you choose the inline 6 over the PHEV? My commute is short and I could save on gas with the PHEV.

I prefer how the hybrid drives and feels. The inline 6 is amazing, but the PHEV would make more sense if I used electric driving more often.
@Zara
I was worried about the charging port. I use a cable to prevent it from sliding out, which was annoying.
Can you disable the noise it makes when reversing?

No, but I kind of like it. It’s a good warning, especially with kids.

Mazda prioritizes safety with that sound. It’s fine.

You can’t disable it since it’s a safety feature, but you can adjust the volume settings.
