I recently took a look at the new Mazda CX70 and wanted to share my impressions. What do you all think about it?
That photo reminded me of walking up to my older Mazda 3 in the parking lot, thinking someone had dented the door. Turns out it was just the door panels with their unique design.
I wasn’t a fan of this car when it first came out. I was hoping it would be a midsize SUV like the Grand Cherokee, but it turned out to be similar to the CX-90. Now, I see the CX-70 makes more sense as a two-row SUV and it looks better. The color and wheels combination is awesome. I still love my older Mazda 6, but if I were to buy a new car, I’d choose this combo.
@Jai
Is the 90 small for a three-row? I’d rather have the CX-90 for the extra seats, and it’s more practical. Plus, it’s cheaper than the CX-70.
@Jai
Is the 1.9% interest rate monthly or yearly?
It’s 1.9% annually. That’s how financing works here.

I’m not from the US and see people talking about 0% rates or other numbers.
@Kai
There are 0% rates available, but usually without discounts on the car price.

Annual rate is like 12 times higher than monthly.
@Noor
Actually, it’s the other way around.
I agree with many of your points. For the rattles, make sure everything in the back is secured, including the storage area. I’ve had issues with seatbelts clanging too. Fastening the seatbelts when driving alone might help. If rattles continue, consider getting an inspection.
I’ve driven many CX-70s and they usually don’t have rattles. The transmission advice you gave is spot on. Also, watch out for the driver side air vent if you’re tall; it can be uncomfortable.
@Hollis
I’m sensitive to rattles too. On my CX-70, I have one under the steering wheel and another near the rear seat armrest. There’s also a buzz near the dashboard. I’ll have the dealer check these during my first service.
Regarding the air vent, I haven’t had issues, but it does stick out a bit.
@Zara
The CX-70 and CX-90 are great, but some parts might need attention. Enjoy your car!
@Hollis
I thought I was the only one with knee issues from the vent.
Beautiful car.
Do you hear any weird sounds in the lower gears? Like something turning on? It might be the electric battery, but I’m not sure.

Yes, I hear it. It might be the hybrid drive or transmission chatter. I’ll mention it during my first service.
@Zara
So, nothing to worry about?
