I’ve been looking at getting the 2025 CX-5. I’m currently negotiating with the dealer but wondering if I should just go ahead or wait until December for a better deal. I’d really like 0% financing, but not sure if that’ll happen. What do you all think?
Mazda had their best October sales ever, so they don’t seem desperate for buyers. This time of year does bring lower-interest offers like ‘Happy Honda Days’ and ‘Toyotathon.’ Keep in mind, the CX-5 is due for a redesign, and first-year models can have glitches. I’d say buy now and take care of it with dealer servicing, rustproofing if you live up north, and maybe an extended service plan. Been a Mazda tech since 1989, by the way.

Don’t forget to report a lost key within the first 6 months to get a free replacement! Also, I hope they improve those key fobs. They’re one of my minor complaints, along with the center console layout and no individual tire pressure display. It’d be great if they fixed those in the next version.
@Pippin
Interesting—do you have any documentation or sources for that? I can’t seem to find anything online about it.

Not sure what you mean by ‘documentation.’ When you buy a new Mazda, the key fob is covered for six months if it’s lost or stolen. My dealer mentioned it when I bought mine.
@Pippin
Ah, so it’s part of the standard Mazda warranty? I’ll look into it further. Thanks for the heads-up!

Yep, good luck finding the details!

What do you think about the engine setup in the CX-70 and CX-90? I heard some repairs require removing the engine, which could make repairs crazy expensive.

Honestly, I find it easier to drop the engine for certain repairs anyway, like working on cylinder heads. So far, I haven’t had any issues with the 3.3 engine. And remember, warranty is there to save the day if something major happens.
What’s the deal you’re getting? Hard to give advice without knowing that.

It’s 1.9% financing for 36 months.
Why take the chance of missing out on 0% financing?
