I just found out that a 75" TV with packaged dimensions of 73 x 44 fits perfectly in it. Pretty impressive, right?
I’ve done the same with my CX-5, but without the box.
I can fit one on my Miata too. What’s so special?

Miatas are surprisingly good at carrying oversized stuff. No roof means one less limit on size.

We need a thread just for ‘Miata logistics’ stories.

Good to know the CX70 handles this stuff well. I brought home a 77" LG OLED in my 2014 CX-9 without any issues. No need for me to upgrade yet, though.
CX70 is amazing! I’m driving one now and it’s so roomy and comfortable.
That’s it, I’m getting a CX70 for my next car. It would’ve saved us the headache when my husband put our new 75" Samsung TV in his truck bed, only to find out later the gooseneck hitch punched a hole in the back of the TV. Luckily it didn’t hit the screen!
I fit a 65" TV in my CX-5. It didn’t look like it would fit at first, but it worked.
Just a heads up: you’re not supposed to lay a TV flat. It can put too much strain on the screen.
