I get it. The cx5 does look way cleaner without all the textured plastic that the cx50 has.

It’s the way it opens… it splits and opens sideways. I prefer the kind that opens backward as one piece. Feels more natural to me.

Oh, I get what you mean. I actually don’t mind the split design, though. It’s handy in bigger cars with wide consoles since you don’t have to move the other person’s arm. On smaller consoles, I can see why it might feel awkward.

Yeah, for me, it’s just awkward to use. Maybe it’s something you get used to over time, but I didn’t want to take the chance.
I’m really disappointed we don’t get the CX-50 here in Europe. Would’ve loved to see it on the roads.
That steering wheel design with the big hump for the horn and airbag… it just looks bad to me.
