My ND3 has completely won me over.
Why did you switch to the ND3?

Two busted transmissions, getting parts I wanted from the BBR package at a better deal, equity in my ND2, and the employee discount/stipend made the ND3 a no-brainer.
@Hayes
How did you end up with two broken transmissions? I’ve got an ND1 with 100,000 km and haven’t had serious issues. The third gear sync is starting to wear, but that’s about it.

I don’t push the transmission hard because I know they’re fragile. Mine started grinding and shifting roughly, so I decided to replace them before the warranty ran out. I’d rather act early than wait for it to fail completely.
@Hayes
Good call on handling it under warranty.
I push mine pretty hard, but luckily no gearbox problems yet. Wonder if the transmissions vary by region.
It’s a stunning car.

Mazda really nailed it with this one!
It’s gorgeous. The design is so timeless. I especially love the daytime running lights on the ND3.

Agreed! The new DRLs are growing on me, but it’d be awesome if the old DRLs on the bumper could be added as fog lights too.
