I’m amazed. When I started looking for cars, I didn’t think I’d choose Mazda. I thought maybe Subaru, Honda, or Toyota. Mazda wasn’t on my list, but I posted and asked for advice on this forum, and Mazda kept coming up.
After some research, I found that the CX-5 was the one I wanted. It’s not too big or too small, good for my small family (we have a new baby girl). It has a great sound system with 10 Bose speakers, better user experience than others, and it comes in a Turbo model which I love driving on the open road by myself.
I test drove a used 2021, a new 2025, and a new 2024. The 2024 was the last Turbo available, and had the top trim level with a great financing deal for good credit. They lowered the price to sell it quickly, knowing I’d choose the used car otherwise. But the better financing and features of the 2024 convinced me. Yesterday, I got my first new car after years of buying used ones.
After one day, I’m in love with it. The sound is clear and loud, even for someone who likes tech. The engine is strong with the turbo and still gets good gas mileage. It’s very fun to drive. It’s comfortable and has great features like wireless charging, a nice screen, good control layout, cameras all around, a movable windshield display, and more.
The car looks beautiful. It’s machine gray metallic with special wheels, window tint, a roof rack, and the Caturra interior is perfect.

Haha! I also work from home and own the Turbo Signature model (2020). I’m always looking for reasons to drive it now. I’ve had mine for a few weeks. My latest reason to drive is checking all the “Top Tier” gas stations nearby to see which one has 93 octane. I love mine so much. Congrats! Enjoy driving!

Welcome to Mazda, where the feeling of driving is the most important thing. We own 6 different models in our family, it’s hard to drive anything else.
If you think it looks nice now, wait until you get it polished and waxed. I have an MGM CX-9 and take good care of the paint. It has some minor wear and tear after 6 years and 120k miles but the paint still looks great after a fresh detail every year.
It’s definitely a nice car. Make sure to take good care of it. Turbo engines need regular maintenance and the Mazda 2.5T doesn’t have a perfect reputation. Change the oil at around 500-1000 miles, then around 2500 and 5000 miles. Stick to a maximum of 5000 miles or 6 months. I would even do an old-fashioned 3 months or 3000 miles if I owned one.
@Ash
I do oil changes every 6 months or 5000 miles on my 2020 2.5T 6 Signature. I did my first change at 1500 miles. I do all the work myself. These cars are easier to maintain. I rarely go over 2000 miles in 6 months. I drive mostly highway when the office is open. Watch for oil dilution if you only do short trips.
