Anyone else’s app messing up today?

It’s one of the coldest days this year and, of course, the app isn’t working. Come on, Mazda, fix this for good. People need this feature to work!

Yeah, same here. It sent me a door unlocked alert like two hours after I got home. Super helpful, right?

Got an engine cancel message around the same time I arrived home. This thing is so unreliable.

Yep, I had a bunch of random start and stop alerts this afternoon. Not cool. :woman_facepalming:

Mine said remote start was successful, but when I got to my car, the engine wasn’t even on. What’s the point?

Same here, freaked me out since my car’s in the garage. Not a great feeling. :worried:

These cold days really show how bad the app is. I doubt Mazda cares enough to make it better though.

Honestly, I’d pay extra to have remote start directly on the key fob like VW. Or even the ability to start the car, lock it, and go back inside. But Mazda won’t let you lock the car if it’s running. Guess I’ll have to look into an aftermarket system.

@Milo
Yeah, aftermarket systems work pretty well. Most of them just use three button presses on your current key fob to start the engine.

Of course, it started working right after I posted this. I get that tech isn’t perfect, but Mazda should really invest in making this app reliable. Remote start is a lifesaver in Minnesota when it’s -17 with a -40 wind chill.

I got spooked when I got the remote start success notification, but the app wouldn’t open. Seems like it’s working now though.

Great timing, especially since tomorrow morning’s gonna be 1°F with a high of 12. Perfect weather for this app to glitch.
