Why is my screen getting worse?

The screen on my 2016 Mazda CX-3 started with a small spot, but now it’s spreading. Anyone know what’s going on or how to fix it?

Sounds like screen delamination. It’s a pretty common issue. You can find digitizer parts on eBay and fix it yourself if you’re handy.

Reach out to Mazda about it. They replaced my screen for free on a 2017 Mazda 6. I just paid for the labor since my car was out of warranty. Worth asking them!

I’ve got the same problem on my 2020 MX-5. It seems like a recurring issue.

I have the same model and year as you, and mine started small too, but it’s getting worse. When I contacted Mazda, they blamed it on a ‘camera’ issue (???). They wanted a lot to fix it, so I just left it as is.

Mine got fixed for free under a recall here in Canada. Maybe check if there’s a recall for your car.

I replaced mine last summer. There’s a YouTube video I followed, and I added some tips in the comments section that would’ve helped me during the repair. Check it out: https://www.thisforum.com/MazdaCX9/s/xfgVqHfxcP

You can buy kits to rebuild the center display. Might be a good option for a DIY fix.

It definitely looks like delamination. Pretty sure the only solution is to replace the infotainment system.
