Why is Mazda not saying anything about this outage?

How is it possible for a huge company like Mazda to not have a status page, a tweet, or a forum mod to talk about this outage? The worst part for me is that it feels like they don’t care at all about us, the customers who pay for subscriptions or those who just bought a car. I thought they had a better connection with their customers than this.

Maybe they’re thinking of shutting it down for good because of how bad things are.

They’re going to owe a lot of money if they do that.

Not really. Since it’s a subscription, they can just stop it at the end of the period or refund people who subscribed in the last month during the outage.

It’s freezing here, and I can’t start my SUV to warm it up. I’d go out and start it manually, but now I can’t even lock the doors afterward.

It’s so annoying! It’s -5 outside, and I have to go out and sit in a freezing cold car with icy seats because I can’t lock the doors when I start it up early! You’d think they could send an email or something! Before checking here, I even deleted the app, re-downloaded it, and restarted my phone. Not a happy Mazda customer!

The worst part is that they’ve disabled the customer support chat on their site, and when you call them, it just rings and then goes straight to a busy tone. That’s how you know they’re avoiding us. If they cared, they’d at least put you on hold with some bad elevator music.

@Marley
I got through to them in about 3 minutes today.

Mine never stopped working.

With everything happening in the world, I just bought a car, not an app.

But I’m paying $10 per month for this service. It’s like adding $360 to the cost of your car if you bought it new and are still in the free period.

@Spencer
I use the app for service. But once my free trial is over, I’m done. I’m not paying to start my car through an app.

I’m not paying for an app to start my car when it only works half the time.

There’s always something worse going on in the world, so is anything in our lives really that important? The sticker on my car lists Mazda Connected Services," so working connected services are part of what I bought. I could live without it, but don’t advertise features if they won’t work. I’m still under the free trial, but I don’t even bother trying the app anymore. Maybe these posts should just be a megathread at this point. We’ve covered this so many times already.

That’s true. But for those who did pay for the app, they have every right to be upset. Mazda’s ignoring them right now.

I’ve never had any issues with the app. Just checked it, and it works fine. I don’t get what the problem is.
