He’s not back in office yet. His team will probably focus on other issues first, like immigration. Tariffs will come eventually, but it could take time.
He’s better prepared this time and wants to get things moving fast. Could be less chaos at the start, but who knows.

Still the same guy who insists on doing his own makeup, though.

True, but he’s more experienced now. Like him or not, he’ll have a big impact.

Of all the things to worry about with Trump, tariffs might not be the biggest concern.

Why so dismissive? Tariffs would directly affect car prices, including Mazda.

Exactly. This is a valid question. Why label it as overdramatic?

Why the need to brush it off? It’s a legitimate concern.

Sounds like you haven’t read about Project 2025.

It’s like you can’t escape Trump discussions on any forum.

Why are you even here if you prefer American cars?

Yeah, America first, but buying non-American cars? Hypocrite much.

Some dealers are using this as a scare tactic to boost sales. Even if tariffs happen, you likely have some time. Make a decision based on your needs and budget.

I’d still pick a Mazda over a Tesla or any American car. No point in panicking now—nothing is set in stone yet. And I doubt Japan and China will be treated the same.

Teslas are American-made, you know.

Dealers might start raising prices in anticipation of tariffs. We don’t know when or how much, but it’s something to watch out for.

Even American-made cars use lots of imported parts. If these tariffs go into effect, almost every vehicle will get more expensive.

Relations with Japan are solid. The media likes to scare people, but I wouldn’t stress too much.

Yep, Trump actually likes Japan. Relations improved during his first term. Mazda might even boost US production as a result.

Trump’s economic plans could affect interest rates too, but who knows how soon.

Actually, he’s been pushing for lower rates, which would cause prices to rise in other areas.
