Do Mazda dealerships offer loaner cars while your car is being worked on? We’re thinking about getting a CX-9, but this is really important for us since we only have one car. If we have to rent one every time it’s in the shop, that’s an extra cost we need to think about.
Some do, but it really depends on the specific dealer.

It also depends on how long your car is in the shop and whether they have loaners available. But why do you think it’ll need to be in the shop a lot? I’ve driven Mazdas for over 150k miles and only needed a loaner for about two days total.
@Ash
I had to get a loaner three times within the first 3,000 miles on my CX-50. They replaced the whole front suspension twice and fixed the door rubbing against the body.
If you only have one car, you might need a loaner even for basic maintenance.
Loaners aren’t always available. Some dealers don’t offer them, and others might not have one ready when you need it because so many people are asking. Sometimes dealers will cover part of the cost for a rental car.
If they do give loaners, it’s usually only for vehicles still under the manufacturer’s warranty.
You should ask the dealership you plan to use. Some will provide loaners if the car needs big repairs, but not for something small like an oil change.
From what I’ve seen, they’ll give you a loaner if it’s a warranty repair. Otherwise, you’re on your own.

And if you didn’t buy the car from that dealership, good luck. They might tell you to take the bus, lol.
Just ask your dealer.
It’s not guaranteed. With all the issues the CX-70/90 models are having, dealerships are running out of loaners. Some customers are being put into rental cars because their vehicles are under warranty, but even that isn’t always an option.
You should check with the dealers near you.
Not all dealers give loaners, and sometimes you really have to push them. They might say, ‘We don’t have any loaners available,’ but if you give them enough notice, it’s harder for them to use that excuse. Some dealers even offer valet service to and from your home or work.
